General Foreman - Civil & Architectural

MATANA Buildings is a construction and contracting company delivering warehouses, industrial buildings, strip malls and residential buildings in Saudi Arabia. Our team brings long site experience, and we are growing our project teams.

You will

• Run the civil and finishing trades across the site through the foremen.
• Plan the weekly work and manpower to meet the programme, with the site engineers.
• Prepare work plans and support the engineers on method statements.
• Direct earthworks, foundations, formwork, reinforcement and concrete works.
• Direct structural steel and pre-engineered building erection.
• Direct blockwork, plaster, paint, tiling and other finishes.
• Coordinate the work of subcontractor crews and check their output and quality.
• Coordinate with MEP foremen on sleeves, openings and sequencing.
• Check work before the engineer's and consultant's inspections.
• Review the foremen's daily reports and report progress and delays.
• Allocate plant, tools and materials between the crews.
• Lead toolbox talks and enforce permits, PPE and heat stress controls.
• Apply MATANA's environmental controls: dust, waste and noise.
• Develop foremen and chargehands and report on their performance.

You bring

• 11+ years in building construction, including leading foremen on civil and finishing works.
• Hands-on knowledge of earthworks, concrete, formwork, reinforcement and structural steel.
• Hands-on knowledge of blockwork, plaster, paint and tiling.
• Able to read drawings and specifications and plan work from them.
• Experience managing subcontractor crews on site.
• Good HSE knowledge: supervisor safety, work at height, permits to work, heat stress and environmental controls.
• Good English and at least basic Arabic.
• Saudi, or non-Saudi with a transferable Iqama.

An advantage

• HSE certificates (OSHA 30-hour, NEBOSH or equivalent).
